I’ve got a couple of spare tickets to a sold out concert and at least three groups of people who want to buy them. I’m looking for an online tool where they can bid their preferred price, so I can sell to the highest bidder.
The payment will be done in person, so this is just to settle a price.
Any ideas?
Google hasn’t been helpful - keeps listing out auction software for charities. I don’t need something so complex for this one-off sale.
(Context: I’m keen on making a profit since I took a lot of effort to buy the tickets through multiple, miserable rounds of ticket sales. However, I do want to sell to people I know personally rather than on StubHub or similar.)
Edit: this was their idea, but I get how this seems a douchey thing to do. Thanks for the judgement.
I don’t think you understand the concept of friends. I’m sorry that it was hard to get said tickets but trying to make money on selling tickets you’re not going to use anyway to friends is major douche canoe behavior.
Well I probably should have clarified that this was their idea. But hey, point taken anyway.
Asking friends to compete for your stuff in a bidding process seems like a great way to lose those friends.
Should have mentioned that this was their idea. But point taken.

Why not just have them email sealed bids?
Because then you can’t get your friends into a bidding war with each other. What else are friends for?
Just make an ebay (or local equivalent) listing and let them bid through there.
I think there’s also an option for private listings on eBay?
Just do an in person auction?
