    I wonder what the longevity of potcake dogs are?

    They’re essentially dogs without any human meddling in fucking up their bodies with hip dysplasia and other genetic issues.

    We should probably see what the natural lifespan of a dog is outside of our aesthetic breeding practices before we try and make fucked up dogs live longer.

    Can’t see it cause of the paywall, but does it give active years, or just more “older” years?

      Generally, these anti-aging treatments can only work via the former model. Time alive with an aged body is inherently limited because death is directly caused by the condition of the body. Though life in an aged state can be extended slightly and at great cost via more typical medical interventions during emergency events.

      But that’s not the way life extension works. It would be a model more similar to the effects of exercise and healthy eating.
